Yeast-Risen Waffle Batter
Ingredients
- 1½ cups milk (340 mL)
- 6 tbsp butter (85g, melted)
- 2-3 tbsp maple syrup (39-57g, optional)
- ¾ tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 241 g all-purpose flour
- 1½ tsp instant yeast

Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl. Mix until well-incorporated, but don't knead.

Cover and let rest overnight in the refrigerator.

Ladle ≈¼ cup of batter into each waffle mold and cook until the light goes off.
