Butterscotch Brownies

Time = 15 min prep + 30 min bake
Servings = 1 pan of brownies

Ingredients

• 1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter
• 2 cups light brown sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 cup AP flour, sifted
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 1 tsp salt

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350F

2. Melt 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter in saucepan and stir in 2 cups brown sugar

3. Cool slightly, then beat with 2 eggs and 2 tsp vanilla.

4. Sift then measure 1 cup flour, 2 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp salt. Stir into butter mixture.

5. Pour into greased 8 x 8 in metal baking pan. Bake 30 min at 350F. Do not overbake.
