Cinnamon-Sugar Mixture

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven at 350 ºF.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar for about 5 minutes until light and fluffy (ok to do this by hand if you don't have a mixer).

  3. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and then add the eggs and vanilla. Cream for an additional 1-2 minutes.

  4. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt, until just combined. In a separate small bowl, stir together sugar and cinnamon.

  5. Wrap the dough and refrigerate for 20-30 minutes.

  6. Roll dough into small balls until round and smooth. Drop dough into the cinnamon-sugar mixture and coat well.

  7. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 9-11 minutes.

  8. Let cool for several minutes on the baking sheet before removing from the pan.
