Snickerdoodles
Time = 10 min prep + 20 min chill + 10 min per batch

Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter (softened)
- 1.5 cup white sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2.75 cup all-purpose flour
- 1.5 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
Cinnamon-Sugar Mixture
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1.5 tablespoon cinnamon
Directions

Preheat the oven at 350 ºF.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar for about 5 minutes until light and fluffy (ok to do this by hand if you don't have a mixer).

Scrape down the sides of the bowl and then add the eggs and vanilla. Cream for an additional 1-2 minutes.

Stir in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt, until just combined. In a separate small bowl, stir together sugar and cinnamon.

Wrap the dough and refrigerate for 20-30 minutes.

Roll dough into small balls until round and smooth. Drop dough into the cinnamon-sugar mixture and coat well.

Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 9-11 minutes.

Let cool for several minutes on the baking sheet before removing from the pan.
